DIY: Exfoliator for the winter- For your entire body!

I know I'm not the only one who feels like every winter, all the moisture is being sucked right out of you! Exfoliating off the dead skin cells is great, especially in the winter when you may have to kick your skin products up a notch! I have an amazing, easy way to create your own exfoliant right in your own home.

All you need:

2 Tbsp of milk (preferably organic, but it doesn't really matter!) Milk contains lactic acid, this is fantastic for hydration and can also help a bit with mild acne.
1 Tbsp of organic honey
Lastly, depending how "gritty" you like your exfoliants, use 1 tsp to 1 tbsp of "sugar in the raw", this sugar can be found in any major grocery store.

This can be used all over your body, including lips! If using all over, you may have to add more.

If you think you are lactose intolerant or have a milk allergy, i suggest skipping the milk and using orange juice! As we already know, oranges contain vitamin c which is great to use during all seasons :)

I absolutely love this and hope you will as well. Tell me in the comments if you try it out!

Enjoy! Cheryl

Features matching Benefits

How many times have you seen a product and have thought, "wow, this seems absolutely amazing!" especially if the price is skyrocketed! Like for example, walking into a department store, and seeing a nice, pretty bottle of serum that promises acne to diminish. It says on the front that it has fortifying vitamin A. When you turn it over to look at the ingredients, it says nothing about vitamin A or a derivative of it. This sounds just like false advertising, but for skin care. You always, always want to make sure the features match the benefits! The features being ingredients, and benefits is what it usually says on the front of the package. A $10 product could be just as bad as a $70 one if you really pay attention to this little trick!
